Clearing patches - FIXED ------------------- BUG: CLEAR PATCH button gives no warning and remains active. If a soundfile is then selected via the right-click menu and the spacebar is used to play the file, the patchgrid is emptied, as the button is still active. FIX: (next release - BETA-2) A warning message has now been added when a patch is cleared. Focus control returns to the patchgrid so that the button is no longer active. Similar arrangements also added to other patchgrid buttons. WORKAROUND: After clearing a patch, use the file selector to select your next source file. 2. Misdirected report files - FIXED --------------------------- BUG: Report files (e.g. ONSETS.txt) specified on the parameter page are not picking up the given path. A pathless file in CDP is assumed to belong to the default folder, here the user's TEMP soundfiles folder, which is where these files are being directed. Not being prefixed by a tilde, they're also not being cleared on exit. FIX: (next release - BETA-2) Path is now included in the commandline. 3. Empty cell column 0 after row cleared - FIXED ----------------------------------------- BUG: After clearing a row, or sometimes a patch, column 0 has no row label, until a replacement source is loaded. FIX: (next release - BETA-2) Row label is restored. 4. Aito StoM before PAN - FIXED ----------------------- BUG Automatic Stereo to Mono change preceding PAN works, but the program still gives an error message that a Mono file is required. The process is rejected. The bug doesn't affect re-run patches. FIX: In next release: BETA-2 WORKAROUND: After the process is rejected, select it again, because the input file is now Mono. 5. REGISTRATION BUG in Win7 64-bit edition (only) -------------------------------------------- Though registration codes have been issued, a bug exists which will need to be fixed (when I know more about Win 7 64-bit!). Affected users will be asked to re-register. 6. GraphEd Visual Editor ------------------------- BUGS (as Pro 2.x) There are some problems with importing a processed column of data, when it's one of a breakpoint pair, e.g. Y values. Also, single-column textfiles may not load as intended, for example frequencies generated with BankFreqs (Data menu). WORKAROUND /FIX The problems are still being investigated. KNOWN ISSUES ============ 1. Spaces in BAT path --------------------- Soundshaper's Batch files (and other vital files) are kept in a \BAT subfolder of \Soundshaper, so the program can always find them. Unfortunately, it is now clear that if the \BAT path has a space in the name, e.g. C:\Program Files\Soundshaper\BAT, the batch files and hence Soundshaper WILL NOT WORK (...something to do with commandlines). WORKAROUND: The settings page detects such a space and allows you to have the \BAT folder somewhere else. (But its path still must not have a space!) CDP PROBLEMS ============= See KnownBugs.txt for version 2.x. I think these bugs/ issues are still there, but have yet to check.
