ABOUT CDP
Soundshaper's sound processing engine, CDP, covers every area of sound design. In the "time-domain" (ordinary soundfiles), CDP is very strong on granular and textural techniques, and processes which reorganize the order of events. Particularly innovative are spectral processes, which alter a sound's time-varying frequency spectrum. You can also separately extract peaks in the spectrum (formants), or pitch, and manipulate or combine these characteristics of sounds in new and unusual ways. CDP  is not a real-time system: all processes alter an existing file and write a new one. But this means that on the latest machines, a sequence of CDP processes can now be run faster than real-time!  MORE ABOUT CDP»

SOUNDSHAPER 4 (Pro) for CDP 6
Soundshaper comes in two editions (both for PC): the full program -- Soundshaper 4 -- and a new free demo edition: Soundshaper Lite.
Soundshaper 4 has full support for the new CDP Release 6 software, including multi-channel programs.

Soundshaper is built around a multi-process environment, with easy construction of patches in an innovative patch grid.  Patches can be saved and recalled as fully-editable presets, for use with different source files. As you build a patch, you are working with processed sounds, so you can hear the effects of the process chain at any stage. Files can be saved permanently at any point and any process can be edited or replaced with another function.

Soundshaper has been extensively upgraded over the past year to support multiple processing rows and the latest version of CDP: Release 6.  CDP 6 introduces many new processes for working with multi-channel sound, including innovative sound diffusion programs as well as new spectral splitting and rhythm-transforming functions, and a fast spectrally based convolver.  To handle multi-channel work, the patch grid in Soundshaper Pro has been expanded to 10 rows and 12 columns.   READ MORE»

REGISTRATION
To run Soundshaper Pro, you first need to purchase the CDP software and a Soundshaper user-licence.
Both are now available direct from the CDP website: CLICK HERE.     Prices are given here: SOUNDSHAPER PRICES» . 

Download Soundshaper from the Downloads Page , then follow the instructions for installation and registration. Registration involves a simple exchange of e-mails: once your purchase has been verified, we will send you a Validation Code to complete the registration.  A single-user license entitles you to install Soundshaper Pro on two machines; multiple site-licenses are also available. 

Soundshaper Pro is available as a registered product only, with product support by e-mail. All users of Soundshaper Pro are welcome to submit problems, queries and ideas for further improvement by e-mail (see Contacts Page).

If you purchased and registered the original Soundshaper (1.x), but have not yet upgraded to Pro, you can now do so free of charge.  DETAILS»

Registered users of Soundshaper Pro (v.2.x and later) can already upgrade for free just by downloading the latest version.

SOUNDSHAPER LITE
SOUNDSHAPER LITE is a free demo edition of Soundshaper offering a comprehensive introduction to the creative possibilities of the CDP suite. LITE replaces the previous free version Soundshaper Standard and is now more powerful than the original version of Pro (before vn.3.0).  It is optimized for stereo and features two processing rows, with many possibilities for mixing and separate processing of channels (see screenshot above).

Soundshaper LITE is compatible with CDP Release 6 and supports all of the Release 5 functions within CDP6 and a small number of the new CDP 6 ones.  Soundshaper LITE is freeware, but is NOT a standalone program: you still need to purchase the CDP software, available direct from the CDP website».  There is no support included, but users are welcome to submit bug reports and comments.
